New Build Dwelling
A replacement dwelling in Llanharry, we took this project from its inception, through to completion. We completed a comprehensive pre application submission and developed the design collaboratively with the client. Our ability to work with the Local Authority enabled us to gain permission for a dwelling that met our clients aspirations.
The design consists of two main wings with differing architectural language. The frontage represents a traditional Welsh cottage that has been spliced and reinterpreted whilst the rear is more modern in form. This produced a contemporary design that sits comfortably in its rural surroundings. Internally, the building is designed for modern living with all parts of the house connected through site lines or double height spaces carved out between floors. This was especially important considering the overall size of the house.
