Extension to Rural Dwelling
O:AD studio have been appointed to extend a traditional farm house in rural Rhoose on the outskirts of Cardiff. We used a mixture of modern and traditional building materials in the design, Traditional Stone masonry, Wooden cladding but with a standing seam Zinc roofing and large glass siding doors to make the most of the incredible views.
A fully holistic approach including innovative design solutions has been the main project driver and has allowed us to propose a house type and architecture that responds to the site context whilst also providing interest and individuality. We feel that our ethos in 'designing for people' is reflected in this design.
